A C1 Advanced qualification shows that you can:
follow an academic course at university level. communicate effectively at a managerial and professional level. participate with confidence in workplace meetings or academic tutorials and seminars. express yourself with a high level of fluency.If a person is at C1, this is advanced level. He/she can do the following: Understand a wide range of more demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning in them. Express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for the right expression.If you achieve a scale score of 200–210 (grade A) in your exam, you will receive the Certificate in Advanced English stating that you demonstrated ability at Level C2. If you achieve a scale score of 180–199 (grade B or C) in your exam, you will be awarded the Certificate in Advanced English at Level C1.
How to study for C1 English : Preparing for the exam
For C1 Advanced, this means you should: practise your English in all four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking • improve your grammar and vocabulary for communication at C1 level • understand how the exam is organised and assessed • understand what will happen on exam day.

When you reach C1, you should have a working vocabulary of about 8000 words – almost double that of B2!

Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.Most native speakers do not speak their language at a C2 level. The reason for this is that a language proficiency test measures the speaker's ability to use the language in it's standard, correct form.
Is C1 Advanced or native : Advanced (C1)
You can understand written texts about all subjects easily and understand both native and non-native speakers except those with strong regional accents.
